Jeff Skinner

Jeff Skinner is a Teaching Fellow of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.

Until formally ‘retiring’ last year,  Jeff was  for many years the Executive Director of  School’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Private Capital

Jeff remains deeply involved in technology commercialisation, training and mentoring academics and technology transfer managers on effective technology commercialisation.
Before LBS,  Jeff was Commercial Director at University College London (UCL), where, working alongside senior academics, he co-founded more than 30 technology-based spin outs that collectively raised more than £30 million in first round capital.
A long time ago, Jeff led research teams at Hoechst Celanese Photonics in New Jersey and General Electric in Wembley.  His first degree was in physics and he holds a PhD in thin film photonics from UCL and a MBA from LBS.  He Chairs ’Hope in Haringey’,  a Tottenham-based charity that aims to  improve the life chances of young adults in Haringey.
