RNDr. et Mgr. Růžena Štemberková, Ph. D., MPA focused her postgraduate studies on industrial property law, which she completed in 2019 by receiving her PhD degree in international patent law at the University of Hradec Králové. Since 2012, she has worked at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, initially for short time as an intellectual property protection manager and later as head of the Technology Transfer Office.
Thanks to her proactive approach to work, she was elected as a board member of the Czech national platform Transfera.cz in 2014. She held this position until 2019, when she was appointed Vice-President of Transfera.cz.
Růžena Štemberková is a member of the newly established EPO PATLIB Committee for the Visegrad countries, she is also a member of the European Presidency of National Associations Advisory Committee in the European Science and Technology Professionals (ASTP PROTON – NAAC), a member of the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN) and a member of Licensing Executives Society Czech Republic and Slovakia. She is author of a number of publications on intellectual property and technology transfer.
