Ing. Milan Belko, PhD. graduated from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, study programme mechanical engineering technology. After defending his dissertation, he worked as a scientific researcher, individual scientists, deputy head of the department at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Bratislava and Faculty of Material Sciences of Slovak University of Technology in Trnava. Acted as principal investigator of several research tasks within the national programme. He has an experience from work for central government authorities, as he worked as head of department, director of section and Director of Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic responsible for coordinating higher education institutions activities, participated in preparation of several strategic and legislative documents concerning research performed at these institutions and Slovak Academy of Science.
Mr. Belko obtained multiannual practical experience from the economic sphere while working on managing positions Production Division Director and Director-General of food industry and textile industry. Currently he focuses on business advisory for small and middle-sized enterprises with accent on their technological development and innovation as well as transferring research and development results to practise.
He is one of the executive directors of STU Scientific, s.r.o., subsidiary of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. This subsidiary focuses on creation and development of university´s spin-off companies support that enable technology transfer from the university environment to the economic and social practice.
