Ján Kutan is Chairperson of the Board of Directors of SLOVCA already for seven years and actively participates in raising awareness of venture capital in Slovakia both in direct way as well as in cooperation with similar associations operating at home and abroad. He is the mastermind behind the significant development of the association’s membership base, and his effort is to bring together under one roof all subjects dealing with the aforementioned issues both on a narrower and wider scale of the business ecosystem.
As an advocate with more than 15 years of experience and also as a member of Slovak Bar Association Council he connects this agenda mainly with law and advocacy both on academic level and especially in practice.
SLOVCA, as a member of the umbrella European association Invest Europe, connects experience with other associations operating within the European area and also brings rich experience gained abroad to Slovakia. It happens mainly through its working group Legal & Tax Committee (LTC), which Ján Kutan founded at SLOVCA as its advisory body four years ago. This working group brings together industry experts and contributes to legislative and economic development in several areas.
