Ing. Andrea Čorejová, PhD. heads the Centre for Technology Transfer at Žilina University in Žilina (CTT UNIZA). She completed an accredited course in Intellectual Property at the Industrial Property Office of the SR. Since 2012 she has acted as an expert witness in Industrial Property, and Economics and Management in the Controlling branch. Her dissertation was focused on knowledge transfer and intellectual property protection in Information and Communication Technologies.
In her role at the CTT UNIZA, she aims at intellectual property protection and optimisation of the processes of intellectual property protection and commercialisation. She was responsible for drawing up the university’s internal guidelines for intellectual property management at UNIZA. She lectures on the legal aspects of multimedia at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of UNIZA.
She is a member of an international organisation Licensing Executives Society Czech Republic and Slovakia (LES CRS) which is part of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI). She is involved in the National Infrastructure for Supporting Technology Transfer in Slovakia II – NITT SK II, a national project implemented by the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR). She represents UNIZA on the Committee for Conceptual Activities and Co-operation, and also on the Committee for Management of Patent Fund and Support for Technology Transfer at the Slovak National Technology Transfer Centre. She acts as UNIZA contact person for collaboration with the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic and also for the PATLIB Centre and InnoInfo Centre, both of which were established in 2016.
