Eva Vargová is the director of Junior Achievement Slovakia. She has fifteen years’ experience in education in Slovakia and abroad. She has held senior education positions in various Slovak and international organisations, including Cambridge University, Johns Hopkins University and Berlitz. She lived in the USA, UK and New Zealand and holds an MBA in financial management. She focuses on the development of personal competences, creativity, entrepreneurship and the potential of young people. She believes that investing in quality education at an early age is the best thing we can do for ourselves and Slovakia.
Junior Achievement Slovakia is a non-profit educational organisation that helps teachers develop in primary and secondary school students the entrepreneurial and economic thinking, financial literacy and skills including digital skills needed to enter the labour market. JA Slovakia’s educational programmes support business and economic thinking and offer preventative solutions for youth employment. More than 25,000 students from all over Slovakia take part in the programmes each year. Over its 30 years of operation in Slovakia, the organisation has recorded more than 400,000 graduates.
