Michal Kardoš has more than ten years’ experience of working for the private sector, public administration, non-governmental organisations, but also with a business of his own. For a long time he was involved in supporting Slovak companies in export activities, e.g. to the USA and Israel as head of exports at the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO). He worked as an expert for government and inter-institutional relations at the American Chamber of Commerce, where he was engaged in digital agenda, energy and other to improve the business environment through legislative proposals and projects in the Slovak Republic and on the European level. He was in teams and co-organiser of many conferences, workshops and other events such as Globsec and Start-up Awards. He has long been involved in support for start-ups and innovations. He is also the author and co-author of several analytical reports and articles, such as The Titans of Tomorrow, the first scale-up study in Slovakia.
„My prime goal and mission as Chief Executive Officer of the Slovak Alliance for Innovative Economics is to contribute to the formation and support for the innovative ecosystem in Slovakia, create networks and new opportunities for members of SAPIE, support strong connections and synergies between private and public sectors, provide information and actively engage innovative companies in current events and new legislative proposals that directly affect the innovative and digital ecosystem. “
Michal Kardoš studied international relations at the University of Economics in Bratislava, economics at the University of Oxford and completed study stays in Iceland and France.
