Michal Jordán is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies, Brno University of Technology and the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, the Czech Technical University in Prague.
While yet to complete his studies, he worked at Linet company, first as an electronics developer and later as a manager of the Department for Innovation and Intellectual Property. Here he gained international experience in intellectual property protection, management of development projects and also in the evaluation of market-potential innovative ideas. Thanks to this experience he always emphasizes that protection of intellectual property should start where it really makes sense for its owner.
Later he acted as a lecturer in intellectual property at various conferences and seminars. For example, as part of the CzechAccelerator project of the CzechInvest Agency from 2011, he trained young companies intending to expand abroad. He currently also works as an expert in the South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC), where he coaches technology companies from this region.
Michal Jordán was selected by the independent platform IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Professionals 2018 among the eight recommended patent attorneys in the Czech Republic. As a patent attorney, he specialises in researches, patent purity and protection of technical solutions. He is entitled to act as the attorney in matters of patents, utility models, industrial designs or trademarks before the Industrial Property Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and also before the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
