MUDr. Beata Čečetková, PhD. works as the Associate Medical Director of SLOVACRIN – the national node supporting academic clinical research, a part of an intergovernmental organisation European Clinical Research Infrastructure – European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ECRIN-ERIC).
She graduated from the 3rd Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague and gained her PhD in Epidemiology at the Faculty of Military Medicine of the University of Defence in Hradec Králové. As an epidemiologist, she has been involved in clinical trials for almost 20 years. She has taken part in clinical trials in various therapeutic areas, has worked at the International Institute for Clinical Studies I.R.I.S. in France, has acted as an auditor of clinical trials in Europe and elsewhere. For over 10 years she has been actively involved in creating an environment for clinical trials in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Currently, within the SLOVACRIN infrastructure established at the Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, she is also closely involved in European and national research projects and studies focused on COVID-19. She has authored and co-authored a number of publications and lectures on clinical trials at home and abroad.
