Recently in Banská Bystrica Self-governing region took place so far the biggest and most detailed mapping of scientific research competencies in region, in this case Self-governing region as a part of the implementation of initiative Catching-Up Regions, in particular it component 3 – Connecting industry to research and development specific workplaces in region (R&D), with following goals:
Improving innovation environment of region through supporting cooperation between regional companies, universities, existing innovation centres as well as learners and students.
Panel discussion with interested parties will try to explain how the project was realised in region, how it contributed to the parties. Participants will also share information about specific tasks they performed and describe relation we can see between this initiative and the core topic of this year´s COINTT.
Technical University in Zvolen will present results of its survey about university´s approach to business sector requirements in the region. We will discuss possibilities how the university participates in it and how can it influence regional policy and implementation of known outputs in regional initiative. Discussion with representatives of participants should bring some answers how they consider their tasks to improve innovative potential of the region, which specific competences can obtain University´s centres for Technology Transfer in Banská Bystrica self-governing region and in what way can regional initiative contribute to transparent and customer friendly oriented attitude creation in cooperation between universities and business sector.
