Process of Making Universities More Transparent for the Private Sector Abroad and in Slovakia
The keynote will provide an overview of what methods of contacting/establishing cooperation are used by universities and other scientific research institutions in Slovakia and abroad in relation to the commercial sphere, and what specific workplaces and other tools they have and use in this area.
This program entry will include two presentations. The first presentation will take us through an overview of how the technology/knowledge transfer works abroad, specifically in Italy. The second „Cooperation with Private Sector at Present and Possible Expectations for the Future“ will present a specific situation from Slovakia at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (STU).
The presentations will evaluate the competences of specialized workplaces for the technology/knowledge transfer from the point of view of their usability in practice, both useful and less practical. The program entry will be a recommendation on how local technology transfer offices should function in Slovakia in the future, so that the technology transfer process is „readable“ for the commercial sphere, and what steps have already been taken to this end, specifically at the STU.
