18. October 2022, 13:30 - 14:00

Global trends send us a clear message that future belongs to 4.0 Industry and capability to innovate and adapt to quickly changing conditions. According to OECD and Eurostat (2005) knowledge and technology transfer are the central part of the innovation process whereas knowledge and technology transfer is not possible without relations between key actors. Even if information is publicly available it can be very difficult and expensive to search it. For that reason, it is very important to have effective communication channels built between actors and mechanisms to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer. Connecting companies with universities leads to improvement of innovation environment in Slovakia and socioeconomic development support by fulfilling three main aims:

Improving practical skills of graduates to respond market requirements;

Enhancing technology transfer and research from academic environment to practice;

Stimulating innovations in Slovak companies

The present situation of education in Slovakia, its distance from practice and not satisfying level of science and research in Slovakia are largely caused by different system obstacles. Local surveys as well as international evaluations clearly show necessity of closer cooperation between academic sphere, private sector and state in Slovakia. SARIO results make clear that state services in this area are beneficial and requested and even relatively cheap and simple solutions can create huge space for innovations stimulation and qualitative grow of Slovak economy. If proper environment is created Slovakia will meet all requirements to become modern and competitive economic with skilled workers and excellent scientific activity and research.
