Social evening that will consist also of gala dinner and announcement of winners of Prize for Technology Transfer in Slovakia 2023 (CTTS) will be a part of COINTT event, in particular the 4th year of the Conference in this format as a continuation of previous 10 years of Technology Transfer in Slovakia and Abroad Conference. This year´s 11th announcement of winners will be for the second time held during the social evening with preceding gala dinner and will be accompanied also with cultural programme.
Entry to the gala dinner will be by invitations only due to limited capacity of the venue. Social evening as well as the competition are organized by Technology Transfer Centre of SCSTI.
Prize for Technology Transfer in Slovakia
Main goal of this prize (CTTS) is to award innovative outputs of scientific research activites with contribution to practice and their authors. At the same time it should draw attention to the achievements reached exclusively at Slovak public higher education schools, Slovak Academy of Science and departmental research institutes. It should motivate scientists to become interested in intellectual property rights protection and its commercialization process. The competition is designed for all scientists in Slovakia and their teams that strive to commercialize their inventions. It is usually launched in three categories as also this year. Sending nominations to particular categories was last year possible between April also 1st and August 31st, 2023. The categories are:
- INNOVATION – category designed for original, unique and the most useful results or technologies of scientific community from public scientific research institutions where process of intellectual property protection and its commercialization is in progress or has been already finished.
- INNOVATOR – category designed for personal nominations – authors or collectives of authors with exemplary attitude to the process of protection of their scientific research activities outputs and their subsequent commercialization.
- ACHIEVEMENT IN TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER IN SLOVAKIA – category, where achievements with considerable contribution to technology transfer field in Slovakia or specific example fulfilling signs of systematic approach to intellectual property rights protection and commercialization by local technology transfer centre, similar organizational units of scientific research institutions or individual research specialists from public research institutions can be nominated.
